The Little Pig That Built His House With Straw

Jared and I are starting to feel like we bought one of the 3 little pig's house. At first we weren't going to COMPLETELY "gut" our bathroom, leaving the boards covering the insulation on...but then our friends came over today to help us... One of the guys ripped off one a board and we were quite surprised to find our walls insulated with STRAW! Yikes! So now we're ripping that all out and filling it back up with better insulation. This means that our bathroom reno will take even more time, but I am glad we're fixing it up well in the process. This bathroom is going to look awesome once it's done!

    No way! Who does that?
    We've found that sometimes what takes the longest with renos is some poor choices that a previous owner/tenant has made, that you can't see until you start pulling things apart.

    Ya... it sure was surprising! Hopefully we'll do it all the right way so that the next owners won't say that about us! :P
